*Charlotte’s SPX* to supply power plant in Israel

Charlotte-based SPX Corp. has landed a $35 million contract to supply an air-cooled condenser for a new, 835-megawatt, natural gas power plant in Israel. The contract was awarded to SPX’s Thermal Equipment and Services business by Alstom, the French company serving as engineering, procurement and construction contractor on the project.

The company is a global provider of evaporative and hybrid cooling towers, air-cooled condensers, heat exchangers and other technologies that support customers in the power-generation, industrial, refrigeration and HVAC industries.
