Ansible adding 35 jobs, more planned

DURHAM, N.C. — Ansible has moved into its new 10,000-square-foot office suite overlooking Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The open-source IT automation startup tripled its space to accommodate business and workforce growth.

The company currently has a staff of 50 and expects that to increase to 85 by the end of the year. Ansible estimates it will hire up to 50 additional staff in 2016. It now has 10 open engineering positions and is looking for a variety of skill sets.

The availability of skilled computer talent was a major factor in Ansible’s decision to expand in Durham. Programs such as the Iron Yard Academy and its intensive boot camp are recruitment tools. The cost of living and the entrepreneurial energy of the city help Ansible recruit in other areas as well.

According to its website, Ansible is a powerful automation engine that makes systems and applications simple to deploy.
No custom scripting or custom code. No agents. All using an automation language that’s easy for anyone to understand and learn.
