Walmart opens Clemmons Neighborhood Market

CLEMMONS, N.C. — Walmart is celebrating the grand opening of a newly constructed Neighborhood Market in Clemmons. The 41,000-square-foot store will have a ribbon cutting at 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 14.

Local community groups, including Clemmons Elementary School, Clemmons Food Pantry and Southwest Forsyth Little League, are expected to receive $8,000 in grants from Walmart and the Walmart Foundation as part of the grand opening.

The Neighborhood Market will feature grocery and general household items, a pharmacy and a selection of North Carolina-grown products. Each of the 340 Markets nationwide is about one-fifth the size of a Walmart Supercenter, and each employs about 95 full- and part-time workers.
