Site Selection ranks North Carolina business climate #2

RALEIGH, N.C. — Site Selection magazine has named North Carolina as the state with the second-best business climate. The publication’s November issue includes 2015 Top State Business Climate rankings.

The Tar Heel State improved from its third place position in 2014. Earlier this year, Site Selection declared North Carolina its most competitive state for new plants in 2014.

In determining the annual business climate rankings, Site Selection asked corporate real estate executives to rate which states had the best business climates, based on recent experience. That accounted for half of the overall score, while performance in the magazine’s annual competitiveness ranking, total new projects so far this year, state tax burdens and other factors also were weighed.
