Novant Health investing $49M to expand Clemmons Medical Center

CLEMMONS, N.C. — Novant Health has officially broken ground on a $49 million expansion of Clemmons Medical Center. The second phase of the medical center includes the addition of 36 inpatient medical and surgical beds and  three new operating suites that will complement the medical center’s focus on orthopedic care.

The 90,000-square-foot phase is expected to be complete in 2017. Novant opened an emergency department, diagnostic imaging center and two operating suites at the facility in 2013.

Construction is also underway on the completion of Village Point Drive, a partnership between the health system, the village of Clemmons and the state. Wellness trails will weave through the medical center property and run along Village Point Drive as part of the development.
